Where is home when no place calls me back?” This question began a quiet search... a search for belonging, for memory, for a feeling Moon could hold onto. Through [Miyeok-guk] and [on the way to jip], Moon has tried to piece together moments of connection: with my parents, with language, with places I had once left behind.

"These films were made through touch - hand-processed frames, hand-processed frames, fragments of conversations I carried with me, and poems written in moments when words felt too heavy to speak, music composed like memory."

We’d love to invite you to an evening that’s not just about watching films, but about feeling them.

Alongside Moon's work, we’ll also be showing over land flow by Matt, a dear friend and supporting artist. His film traces the movement of water — its rhythms, its silences, its life... and speaks to the way things shift and carry us.

The evening will also feature live music, led and performed under the direction of composer Sohee Baek, whose original score helped shape on the way to jip. Her sound creates space for emotion, like breath, like longing, like home. All tickets include a drink and snacks.

Please join us for a quiet gathering of films, music, and memory. Let’s sit together in the in-between.

Sohee Baek (composer) has been exploring the sounds of traditional Korean music which consists of breathes and jangdan (korean unique rhythmic patterns) with Western music forms and instruments. Through the screening event for Moon's films, incredibly talented musicians will share their artistic colours and voice by performing the soundtracks of Moon's films composed by Sohee.

Performers: Lauren Peck (saxophone), Euan Su (violin), Seungyeon Lee (guitar), Kangsan Lee (traditional Korean percussions), and Sohee Baek (piano)
