confluence; currents of analogue film, sound and form

Leadworks, Plymouth

confluence; currents of analogue film, sound and form

Where film, sound, and form meet through analogue textures and quiet rhythm.

confluence brings together filmmakers Moon Seungsung and Matt Trumfield, composer Sohee Baek, and artists Kristofer Stone and Alisha-May Lewis. A flowing together of moving image, sculpture, sound, and painting.

An evening to slow down, share food that warms, and experience work shaped by hand, care, and collaboration. Each piece speaks to ideas of memory, belonging, and transformation - tracing how we move, change, and meet each other in the in-between.

This marks the first gathering of the artist collective at confluence, and we’d love you to join and support its beginning.

P.O.T 2nd - In The Liminar Blur

Hoxton Cabin, London

Music composition for "Younger" (directed by Teva McNeilly)

"P.O.T (Platform of Talent) is a collaborative initiative by FUFM and Festival YOUth, created to support emerging artists across diverse creative fields by bringing together the strengths of both platforms.

Following a heartfelt first edition exploring the traces left behind by love, P.O.T returns with its second event: “In the Liminar Blur.”

In the Liminar Blur, This theme captures the moments where boundaries begin to blur. There are times in life when, though we’re moving through reality,we find ourselves drifting between past and present, between beginning and end, between emotion and numbness.

In these liminal spaces, time feels hazy, our identities become fluid, and even familiar emotions lose their clarity. But it’s often within this ambiguity that we encounter truths we’ve long avoided or memories we never fully processed.

This second edition of P.O.T brings together four artists each navigating their own emotional and creative thresholds to share work born from the in-between.

And maybe, in their stories, you’ll recognize something of your own.

Artists Ciélle — singer-songwriter

Clara Watson — filmmaker

Teva — filmmaker

Victoria Vilalta — singer-songwriter"

Where is home when no place calls me back?” This question began a quiet search... a search for belonging, for memory, for a feeling Moon could hold onto. Through [Miyeok-guk] and [on the way to jip], Moon has tried to piece together moments of connection: with my parents, with language, with places I had once left behind.

"These films were made through touch - hand-processed frames, hand-processed frames, fragments of conversations I carried with me, and poems written in moments when words felt too heavy to speak, music composed like memory."

We’d love to invite you to an evening that’s not just about watching films, but about feeling them.

Alongside Moon's work, we’ll also be showing over land flow by Matt, a dear friend and supporting artist. His film traces the movement of water — its rhythms, its silences, its life... and speaks to the way things shift and carry us.

The evening will also feature live music, led and performed under the direction of composer Sohee Baek, whose original score helped shape on the way to jip. Her sound creates space for emotion, like breath, like longing, like home. All tickets include a drink and snacks.

Please join us for a quiet gathering of films, music, and memory. Let’s sit together in the in-between.

Sohee Baek (composer) has been exploring the sounds of traditional Korean music which consists of breathes and jangdan (korean unique rhythmic patterns) with Western music forms and instruments. Through the screening event for Moon's films, incredibly talented musicians will share their artistic colours and voice by performing the soundtracks of Moon's films composed by Sohee.

Performers: Lauren Peck (saxophone), Euan Su (violin), Seungyeon Lee (guitar), Kangsan Lee (traditional Korean percussions), and Sohee Baek (piano)
