Courage Through Community: A Summer Celebration of Voices Featuring the Mixed Up Chorus, Sing for Freedom Choir and special guests the St Louis Unity Choir
This summer, the Mixed Up Chorus and Sing For Freedom choirs present repertoire from around the globe inspired by this year's Refugee Week theme of Courage, including songs from Ireland, Iran, New Zealand, the USA and the UK amongst others.
We're absolutely delighted to be joined by very special international guests from the USA the St Louis Unity Choir, on their first ever tour to the UK with musical director Dr Philip Woodmore. The choir will be presenting a programme of gospel and originally composed music as well as joining the other choirs for a rousing finale.
This concert marks the next chapter in a five-year artistic relationship between Dr. Philip A. Woodmore and Together Productions, begun virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic. This joint concert brings the partnership to the stage, celebrating shared values of social justice, community, and creative collaboration through song.
The concert will be followed by an opportunity to enjoy drinks and light refreshments with the singers and musicians, whilst connecting with friends old and new.
The venue is fully accessible. Please let us know if there is anything you need to make your evening as enjoyable and safe as possible.
